Family Photoshoots

For Children’s Sessions
As an Oxford family photographer, I love getting children actively involved in creating their own images. When kids are given the freedom to express themselves, they naturally come up with some of the best poses, ideas, and moments. My child‑led approach helps capture natural smiles, genuine expressions, and playful energy — perfect for parents searching for relaxed children’s photography in Oxfordshire, fun kids photoshoots, and authentic family portraits.

For Parents
During your session, you can simply let your children be themselves! This is the perfect time for them to explore, play, and lead the way. I’ll guide and gently encourage them, especially if they’re feeling a little shy, to help them warm up and enjoy the experience. The goal is always to keep your children happy and having fun — because that’s when the most natural, joyful family photos are created. Ideal if you're looking for a stress‑free family photoshoot in Oxford or natural lifestyle photography.

Let them run free!

As an Oxford family photographer, I completely understand that parents often worry about how their children might behave on the day of the photoshoot. Being a parent myself, I know these thoughts well — but with me, you truly don’t need to worry. I love working with children, and their spontaneity, imagination, and unique personalities are exactly what make their photos so special. Those natural, unplanned moments are the ones that create the best images.

Children are full of character, and I’ve yet to meet a child who doesn’t enjoy a photoshoot once they settle in. They may start off a little shy — which is perfectly normal — but with gentle encouragement and a relaxed atmosphere, they soon warm up and begin to have fun. This is one of the reasons I adore outdoor family photography in Oxfordshire. Kids thrive outside: the space, fresh air, and freedom help them relax and enjoy the experience.

So during your outdoor children’s photoshoot, let them run free, explore, laugh, and play while you relax and admire just how gorgeous your children truly are. My goal is to create natural children’s portraits and authentic family images that capture your child’s real personality — joyful, curious, and completely themselves.

Your Story

Family sessions are so special. They are a great time to get you all together and away from the distractions of life!

It's brilliant when you look at a photo of your most special loved ones and think "Yes!!! Look at my lovely family!!"

So, grab your nearest and dearest, lets get to a gorgeous spot and create some images  that you will love and cherish forever.

Locations

I love to shoot outdoors in forests, woods and lakes. This turns the photo shoot into a fun and magical adventure. I have several places I can suggest around Oxford but also if you have somewhere in mind that is special to you I am more than happy to accommodate.

Time

Morning is often best for the young ones! Fill the kids up with a good breakfast before and  bring a drink and a snack for the children (and you for that matter!) It is thirsty work having fun.

Duration

The photoshoot will last around an hour to an hour and a half. That is when everyone's energy levels are at their best!

Vintage suitcase and accessories

I have a vintage suitcase full of props, which anyone can use! Just let me know if you would like me to bring it along.

I have hats, scarves, pretend apples and oranges, sunglasses, bandannas, umbrellas, which the children can pick from,

The suitcase can also be used to sit or stand on. I also have some cute brown stools to use too. But also please bring along anything special you would like to be Included in the photo.
